What is Interact?
Interact (which is short for "International Action") is a high school service club found in year 1962 by Rotary International. Interact is a service-based organization that brings high school students together to assist those who are in need. This club performs countless hours of community service year round. It works with multiple community organizations as well as non-profit organizations around the world, living up to its motto, "Service Above Self."
Interact members gain opportunities to develop leadership skills, understand the importance of responsibility, and promote international awareness. Other benefits include learning the importance of serving others, showing respect, and developing personal integrity.
Fremont High School is now a part of Interact District 5170, the largest district in the world. It consists of over sixty high schools around the Bay Area which contains 13 Areas. Fremont High School is a part of Area 12, along with Cupertino High School, Homestead High School, Monta Vista High School, and Lynbrook High School. Our wonderful and amazing Rotarians are active members of Sunnyvale Sunrise Rotary.
